Harvest Valley Family: We will have a service for you tomorrow on our web page at Harvest Valley Church and also on Face book. Be sure to tune in at 9:30 A.M. for some inspirational music and a message on "God's Perfect Peace." This service will remain on these sites for some time in the future. You can share it with others and tell others about it. This way it will have a greater impact.
We are the church even though not gathered these weeks, but we are still the Church. Keep praying and encouraging each other. Look for opportunities to be a help or encouragement to others. With God's help we will get through this incredible time and when we do we will appreciate meeting together again. We will in fact appreciate our services more because we will have missed them so much. Stay safe and lets stay strong in our witness for our Lord. Pastor Curt Harvest Valley Family: Much is changing about this Corona Virus crisis we all are facing. Every day we hear new things and we wonder what will happen to our country. All this news can truly depress us and make us fearful. The Bible assures us that our Great Lord never changes. Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Numbers 23:19 says, "God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? James 1:17 says, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Isiah 40:8 says, The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. We need to claim His unchanging promises in these hard times.
I will be giving a message on "How to have God's Perfect Peace" for this Sunday. It will be on our Web Page at Harvest Valley Church and we also plan to have it posted on face book. Can I encourage you to be in prayer that God will use this in a powerful way. You can help by telling others to listen to it as well. You can share it if you are on face book. It can go out to hundreds of people in this way. Instead of this message being given to 150 people, it can go out to hundreds with your help. Pray that God will send it to the many fearful and hurting people who need to know how they can have God's Perfect Peace in the midst of this great storm. Thanks in advance for doing this. I plan to do the same. In Christ's powerful name. Pastor Curt Hello church family! We will be suspending all church services and activities until the government mandate is lifted. Here is an update from Pastor Curt about our current situation and what we can do to help others and how you can still support our ministries.
In the meantime, we are working on safely providing a virtual "Sunday service" for you every week through Facebook and our website, as well as weekly #WednesdayInTheWord and encouragement from fellow church body members in a new series called #HelloHarvest. Stay tuned to our page here on Facebook for updates and encouragement! This unique time can be utilized to share God's peace, love and comfort. We encourage you to pray, share the Word, and use this time to be a light for others with kind acts of Christ-like love. The church is not a building - it's a body of believers discipling one another and beyond, especially in times of worry like this! Our God is in control, and in Him we can find peace. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27 Since our President has mandated no meetings larger than 10 we will comply with this and not have any services, groups or meetings at Harvest Valley Church until the mandate is lifted. In the mean time we can all seek to be an encouragement to each other by praying, giving a verse of Scripture, making a phone call and doing some act of kindness to aide others in this time. I have been talking a lot about "being the Church" and not just going to Church lately. We now have a great opportunity to encourage each other as we function as the body of Christ even as we are not able to gather together.
We hope to have the Sunday Message on Facebook live and possibly you tube. If any of you need groceries delivered to your home you can call the Church or e-mail your request to me. We have someone who is willing to coordinate deliveries for those who would request this help. I will be writing this blog on a regular basis to keep up our contact with our Church family. Remember our Lord is in control and we can find his peace in the midst of all this crisis. John 14:27 We appreciate the faithful financial giving of our people to support our ministries. If you are able you can send your offering through the mail. give on line, or drop it off at the Church in the morning hours, except Friday. Pastor Curt |
