Jeremiah House Visit
In April, 2024, Gospel Sowers visited with the Jeremiah House staff and community. While there were not a lot of kids or street people in attendance the night we went, we were able to talk with some of the street people, the director, and some volunteers to get such good information and really feel the heart for this ministry here. This is a great opportunity to serve and bless those in need in our community.
Jeremiah House has been serving the community since 1997 when a woman feeding neighborhood children in her home reached out to her church family for assistance in her endeavors. The ministry has changed in scope and reach over the years but continues to reach families with the gospel. They meet every Tuesday evening throughout the school year, providing programs for kids 4 yrs. through High School, supper provided for kids and adults, Bible lessons, music, games, crafts, and an adult women’s Bible study. |
Local Care Center Craft and Visit
What a blessing it was for us to visit with the residents of a local Care Center residents in November, 2024! We had many residents join us to make Thanksgiving crafts (a fabric stand-up turkey and thankfulness leaf mobile) and eat a plateful of cookies with hot apple cider. We enjoyed conversation, laughs, and helped decorate their seasonal Christmas tree with the freshly made decorations. The care center enjoys decorating with the residents' artwork.

Thanksgiving Dinner Serving at Jeremiah House
In mid-November, 2024, we had an opportunity for us to serve meals at the Jeremiah House for their annual Thanksgiving dinner! We served a turkey dinner to the street people community and anyone else in need. After serving, we had the opportunity to visit with some of the people enjoying the dinner, helped clean up, and visited with the volunteers.

2nd ANNUAL Christmas Tree Decorating With Local Resident Home
In December, 2024, we visited with local assisted living residents in our SECOND ANNUAL Christmas tree decorating! We helped the residents decorate their Christmas tree, sing Christmas carols with them using their piano, and provided Christmas cookies to share with the residents. Wearing our festive Christmas wear, we had a blast sharing Jesus' love with them! |
2-Day Local Missions "Trip"
In June 2023, the Gospel Sowers team planned a two-day local missions "trip" to our own community with the one goal of sharing the gospel with the people we come in contact with right here in the Valley.
On Friday, we started with individual outreach to select individuals that had requested help with cleaning, building a ramp on their home for easy handicap access, visiting with them, and moving furniture to another location. We took cookies to the Scottsbluff and Gering police departments, fire departments, and an urgent care facility. We finished up the evening with an ice cream social at a local assisted living home, visiting with the residents and sharing the love of Jesus. Saturday morning we assisted 11.13 Ministries with meal deliveries to those in need in our community. We finished up some individual outreach afterward. The blessing of our Gospel outreach was well received with several requests for our team to return. Some requested consistent cleaning help, a request for us to return again and play Dominoes as we visit, to do more handyman work, and to return to visit with the residents at the assisted living home, bringing rhubarb crisp and any fresh garden produce. |
Christmas Tree Decorating With Local Resident Home
In November, 2023 the resident home arranged it so we could help decorate their 10-foot Christmas tree with them, lead in Christmas carols, and eat cookies together with the purpose of witnessing the Hope of Jesus in this season of Good News! This was a fun activity for us to do with the residents while getting to share about Jesus and eat cookies while visiting!
