Meet Our Pastors
We'd like to introduce you to our pastoral staff.
Pastor Joel joined Harvest in 2020 as the associate pastor before becoming the lead pastor in June 2022. Before moving to Nebraska, he previously served as a worship pastor in Texas and has also served in children's ministry for over 15 years in Texas and Oregon. He completed his Th.M. degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2020 and previously graduated with a music degree from Corban University in Oregon.
Joel is passionate about preaching, teaching, worship, and encouraging others to use their gifts and to grow in Christ. He was a secondary music teacher in Oregon before feeling God
calling him to full-time ministry. He grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and loves being outdoors, grilling meat, and cheering on most Northwest sports teams.
Heather taught secondary language arts for six years before broadening her teaching to a preschool and elementary homeschooling mom. At Harvest, God continues to stretch and grow her while using her gifts in music and children's ministry.
Joel and Heather have four children, ranging in age from 3 to 11. They have enjoyed planting roots in Western Nebraska and love the people and ministries at Harvest.
Pastor Curt has served as a Church Planter, a local Pastor, and as a lead Pastor, serving mostly Nebraska Churches. He has been doing interim ministry since 2012, and he and Fay make their home in Scottsbluff. He received his schooling from Grace University and has completed some graduate studies with Moody in Chicago.
Curt loves to preach and teach and became a Pastor after a short stint of farming on the family farm in Eastern Montana. He enjoys fishing, gardening and wood working. Fay has always been involved in music, either through the music ministry of the local Church, playing for schools or teaching piano lessons.
Curt and Fay have three sons and five grand children. Their sons and families live in Scottsbluff, Lincoln and Dallas, Texas.
