Christmas Dinner in the Valley started serving meals on Christmas Day in 2003 because one man had a vision and a heart to meet the needs of those in our community. Over the years, the dinner has experienced many changes, but the purpose has always remained the same - to glorify and honor God by showing love to others. This meal is for any and everyone. It's for those who may not be able to provide a meal, those who may be alone and want to share a meal with others, those who are working on Christmas day, and everyone in between. Meals are served at a designated area as well as delivered throughout the county.
Christmas Dinner in the Valley 2019 served the Scottsbluff/Gering area this year with over 800 meals either delivered or served in the Worship Center at Harvest Valley Church. We were so blessed by everyone who volunteered their time and resources!
We estimate approximately 150 volunteers from the Harvest family as well as so many from the community came and served in some form or fashion. What a blessing of abundance!
All expenses were completely covered between donations and the budgeted support from the church.
Thank you for supporting this ministry of outreach in our community! May we keep on encouraging one another to shine our lights boldly and humbly for all His honor and glory!
