2025 CHRISTMAS DINNER
IN THE VALLEY
IN THE VALLEY
Christmas is a time of rejoicing over what God has done for us by sending His Son into the world.
One of the ways we choose to glorify and honor God is by showing love to others. Christmas Dinner in the Valley is a means of doing that, by God's grace and provision, by serving meals on Christmas Day to help meet the needs of those in our community.
This free meal is for any and everyone. It's for those who may not be able to provide a meal, those who may be alone and want to share a meal with others, those who are working on Christmas day, and everyone in between.
This year, by the time we began serving meals inside at 11 a.m., more than 450 delivery orders had been received and more were coming. Those meals were quickly loaded up for the fleet of delivery drivers, each of whom had a carefully planned route. Meals were delivered form Torrington to Bayard quickly and efficiently. A lot of our deliveries are for shut-ins who can’t get out and probably aren’t going to make a whole Christmas meal for themselves. We can’t forget those people.
More than 170 residents chose to dine-in at Harvest Valley Church while others opted to pick up a meal to go.
The 11 13 Ministries van was again stationed at the Guadalupe Center to hand out Christmas dinner meals to anyone stopping by.
In all more than 850 meals were served during the 2025 Christmas Dinner in the Valley.
Dozens of volunteers chose to spend their Christmas morning, quietly and without fanfare, bringing a little joy to people in seven area communities....and we are grateful for all those helping hands and servant hearts. The Panhandle has no shortage of caring folks who show up when needed.
Shout out to Alex Schluter and her team at Emporium Express for providing her exquisite small pastries...in abundance...hot chocolate and coffee for all of our volunteers!!
Once again, Northfield Retirement Community donated all the pies and Hiland Dairy provided more than 1600 cartons of milk for the event.
Hiland Dairy has donated milk every year since the first Christmas Dinner in the Valley in 2003...and we are grateful for their continued partnership!
Thank you Lord, for the opportunity to serve others in your name!!
Christmas Dinner in the Valley started serving meals on Christmas Day in 2003 because one man had a vision and a heart to meet the needs of those in our community. Over the years, the dinner has experienced many changes, but the purpose has always remained the same - to glorify and honor God by showing love to others. This meal is for any and everyone. It's for those who may not be able to provide a meal, those who may be alone and want to share a meal with others, those who are working on Christmas day, and everyone in between. Meals are served at a designated area as well as delivered throughout the county.
